Gay (??) minimal glitch funk label, Soundslike, have a CD of covers by
Soft
Pink Truth out this fucking week. Still reeling from that astonishing remix of
Bjork's 'It's In Our Hands' a couple o' years back, I am. Bloody SOOOO good,
Radioactive Man's still spinning it in his sets today. "What's this
like you tangent veering bastard ?" I hear you all sob. Well the boss keeps
thinking the deliveries are here as it has bleepy beepy noises on (he keeps
leaping up from his chair like a pining dog & running to the window,
expectantly panting) & being all homosexual-esque, It's a tad camp, very
sexy & funky with loads of bendy retro electro shapes firing out all
over the place. Amazing choice of source artists to pay tribute to, an' all.
Crass, Angry Samoans, Rudimentary Peni, Minor Threat, Swell Maps & Die
Kreuzen all done in a seriously un-cheesy sharp-disco fashion.
Just excellent really. Cor, I got a boner, dude.
