In the last year or so I've decided a great deal of instrumental music is
stuck in a self righteous rut of mediocrity & dull, generic tedium. So it
comes as a shock to myself that my record of the week is (largely)
instrumental & guitar orientated. It's the debut album by The Go! Team. 11
tracks of delightful, adrenalised pop, dripping with euphoric energy & good
vibes. It's the party record to kick start ANY party, be it a few mates chatting
in yr front room or a house full of staggering munters. It's also one that
you'll be digging out for years to come as it contains that lively longevity so
lacking in much music these days. Cinematic, summery, furiously catchy &
assembled in a such a way you know this band have absolute unwavering passion
