(again) being routinely touted as the most influential & greatest
alternative behemoths ever to have graced the floodlit stadia of the world
blah blah blah. So she's gone & recorded an intense hard rock mini album
that recalls Throwing Muses being gang banged by Queens Of The Stone
Age. Her new nom-de-plume is 50footwave (all one word). Her voice is transformed into
an anguished primal roar, the guitars fuzz & growl & the exemplary
drumming is tight, heavy & playful. All the Muses quirky signature
changes & odd way with a pop tune are present, yet this is a
meaty & intense affair. A bit of Babes In Toyland in there as well 'd
say! Nice one! On 4AD
