Right reviews then.... Tortoise... 1st new album in god knows
how many years. Wasn't sure what to expect of this cos I used to love
Tortoise but over the years have got a little bored of 'em.... This is
a surprisingly enjoyable listen. I guess it's got the jazzy elements which
you'd expect and the big percussive thing but it sounds more like the
earlier stuff and as far as I'm concerned it's a return to form. Very
organic sounding instruments (not much electronics this time) and full of
warmth which is a bit useful in these cool Spring time months yah. We
like!
