Domino records bid for top pop chart domination in 2004 gets off to a most impressive start with the 2nd single from Franz Ferdinand hitting the racks this week. If you haven't already heard 'Take Me Out' blaring from every radio & telly in the universe you are either A/ deaf or B/live in an igloo in the south pole or C/ share a cell with Saddam Hussein. This is everything The Strokes wish they still were. Amazingly accomplished, so catchy it hurts & absolute POP genius of the highest order. If this doesn't go top ten then I'll eat my 2 day old shreddies (fingers crossed... Phil ) REAL Nu-New Wave for the millennium from these talented Scots. Limited bargain 7", CDs & DVD all with different tracks. Bet Domino wouldn't be able to get labelmates Hood to swallow that multi- formatting gubbins! My Single of the week#1
