Like several of the BJM's albums this might take a good few listens before its brilliance sinks in. But it contains, in 'Prozac vs. Heroin', one of the very best Jonestown songs.
Aside from the music, the cover and sleeve notes alone are worth the price of admission. Slightly lunatic as always, Newcombe lays bare the influence of British bands - Echo and the Bunnymen, The Telescopes, Sonic Boom and Jason Pierce all get namechecked.
