Crescent (aah thats better) return after a 517 year lay off with
a new album on Fat Cat. I seem to remember their last outing 'Collected
Songs' being one of my favourite albums of ...oh when was it again? Anyway
this new one is much more laid back and less tense but equally good. They
have a dark, dubby sound which slowly unravels after a few listens. They
could be compared to Joy Division, Movietone, Hood, Moonshake or
any dark and spectral music from deepest 1981. They are one of my favourite
bands ever. I would urge you buy this album and give it a chance. By The Roads & Fields is on CD and LP
