Enon- Save the best til last. Do you do that when you eat. Save the fave thing on the plate til the end?? Anyway we've been obsessing about this album for some time. It's absolutely brilliant. It's a lady from Blonde Redhead and her or one of the other fellows were or are in Brainiac and The Lapse. I can't remember and don't want to.......I know too much already and they're after me.......This is just a great rock pop album and the tunes on it are blinding. Fizzy pop gems from the stars says Brian. There's touches of Pavement, Blonde Redhead, Lemonheads, Sonic Youth and more obvious reference points which escape me now. But while borrowing from these folks they also have a sound unique to their own.
Hopefully you'll feel I've never let you down on my recommendations and I'd say buy this and play it 2-3 times cos there's gonna be at least 3-4 tracks you'll fall in love with it. if not all of it. And it's one of those albums which gets better as you play through it. ie side 2 is even better than side 1 . High Society is a barkingly good record.
