Also fantasimo is the Quiet Riot dbl CD on PIAS. Possibly
one of the best compilations I've heard ever. Based on the chill out LP's
but instead of being full of crap you get quality bands like Badly
Drawn Boy, Alfie, I Am Kloot, Low, Zephyrs, Nick Drake, Lambchop, Mojave
3, Pernice Bros, Wheat, David Kitt, Lemonheads, The Bees, Lemon Jelly,
Simian, The Beta Band, Arab Strap, J-walk (their 1st single which
is cracking), Sigur Ros, Goldfrapp, Blue States (whose album is
fantastic!), Turin Brakes, Kings Of Convenience, Delgados, Mull Historical
Society and tons more. All the tracks are previously released but
it's been put together with the love and attention that every good compilation
should be. I can't think of a better way of whiling away 3 hours than
sat down listening to this. Well apart from going out, getting really
drunk and making a twat of yourself. But if you take the sensible option,
stay in then get the kettle on and bang this on.
