One of the best records you'll hear this year is the new Hood LP  (Cold House) on Domino which fortunately I'd had a copy for some time now. Really hard one to describe cos it pretty much swings from genre to genre. I hate to use this word but it is a fusion. Yes a fusion I say. And that fusion consists of indie, hip hop, electronica, jazz and probably more. Doesn't really sound like any of them to confuse you. Well I guess it's more indie and electronic than anything else. It's fantastically done anyway and you would be a fool not to either buy this or check it out at a mates. Also while stocks last you get a free sticker with every LP/CD (not available now!!) Nice.

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

What their label says...

Formed around the familial axis of Chris and Richard Adams in the hot-bed of industrial decline and tertiary-sector dementia that is Northern England , Hood have been absorbing and perplexing listeners since their faltering formation in the early 90s.
