A recyclopak is summat I just invented. I can't keep up with the various fangled forms of CD packaging that are thrown at us on a weekly basis. I'm gonna patent an eco-friendly jobber out of dried cat poo, old teabags & afro hair clippings. Sit on that you trendy designer types. Anyway, this CD is 6 versions of the 'Click Continue' tune. It all starts off with some atmospheric downtempo electronica which envelopes your mind with its slow cascading drums & lush skysurfing keys. Digging the space shuttle style dialogue samples too. The Dan Lo Fi Acid Coda mix sounds pretty cool in a post-Plaid, minimal-house/quirky electronica type of way. The tasty interlude has some sweet piano & overall, a really cosmic effect - like it tons. Chocolate Girl injects a chinking cyber dubstep flavour to proceedings that seems to suffer from "bassmice". I.E. the mice have come in the night & scoffed all the low-end like some particularly tasty audio cheese. Then the original comes in near the end which returns to downtempo pastures, extended cinematic horn samples, skittery/funky/jazzy drums & ace yearning astral synths. Yeah, as usual, original means best.... Ffffresh!
The "Click Continue" EP takes the track of the same name from the "Out of Process" album and develops it in four directions simultaneously. The effect both distorts and enhances the original, resulting in a collection of movements that lead back into the source material.
This release is a collaborative project between Runningonair, Dan Lo-Fi and Chocolate Girl.
