OK, so I'm not 100% sure exactly what's going on here so bear with me. As far as I can tell this tastily packaged box set is the fruit of an ambitious project in which husband and wife duo Long Division With Remainders send out pieces of music to interested folks who then process/rearrange/add to/completely mangle those raw materials into whatever they fancy. Those interested folks happen to be pretty interesting in their own right and include Leyland Kirby, The Truth About Frank, Helen Watson, Sone Institute, Ken Peel and luuuurds more. On paper it looks like it should be a veritable smorgasbord of experimental goodness and from what little I've had the chance to hear that would appear to be the case, with moments of drone, stark electronics, rich ambience, field recording fun, electro-acoustic business etc. etc. etc. Tons to get your teeth into, basically.. Even without the exclusive bonus download stuff you also get into the bargain!

LDWR's first collection features 52 tracks of music across 4 CDs, with EPs from artists across the US, Europe and Australia including Leyland Kirby, Isnaj Dui, BLK w/BEAR and Sone Institute.
