Jesus, there's about a million different bands crammed into these two CDs.. That's the beauty of most of them writing three minute indie-pop nuggets I guess. The current big guns (aka The Pains of Being Pure At Heart) go up first and from then on you'll be in the company of the likes of Allo, Darlin', Ballboy, Betty & The Werewolves, White Town (!), Shrag, Standard Fare, The Blanche Hudson Weekend, The Just Joans, Veronica Falls, blah blah etc blah. So loads of good indie-pop acts, both well-established and up 'n' coming, for a totally bargain price. I just wish other genres could get dedicated festivals that are half as well curated as this one seems to be 'cos it looks as though they do a pretty top job with it.
This is the third official release of the Indietracks indiepop festival featuring 44 tracks on 2 CDs of bands playing at this year's festival, which takes place in July 2010.
The CD features songs written or mixed exclusively for Indietracks by White Town, Ballboy, The Just Joans and The Orchids.
It also features songs by some of this year's headline bands, including The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Love Is All, and The Pooh Sticks.
