Talvihorros is the work of one man guitar manipulator and ambient enthusiast Ben Chatwin. Currently residing in London and enjoying a productive period as a solo artist (we've had a number of releases in stock since I started work here last year including an awesome looking tape on My Dance the Skull) Chatwin appears to be hitting his stride with Music In Four Movements. Primarily composing with acoustic and electric guitars, Talvihorros creates spell binding ambient post rock using analogue synthesizers, radio static and various percussive sounds and effects to realize his musical vision. This is a total headphones record with plenty of hidden textures and depth to explore and with Ian Hawgood on mastering duties and sweet artwork from Jordan Chatwin you couldn't really ask for more.

Sound clips for Music In Four Movements by Talvihorros: on CD at Norman Records UK. CD, Hibernate, HB13, £8.19.
CD edition of 200, comes packaged in a digipak cover. Design and Artwork by Jordan Chatwin. Mastered by Ian Hawgood Talvihorros is an experimental composer from London, UK exploring the possibilities of the guitar. His compositions venture into the fields of ambient, experimental, drone, post-rock and folk but dont fall into the cliches associated with any of these genres. Old and broken equipment and recording techniques are favoured over new and modern tools. Both acoustic and electric guitars are layered with organ, synthesizer, mandolin, radio frequencies and various percussion instruments to create dense collages of sound, sometimes melodic, sometimes challenging but always captivating.
