This is a project from Australian musician Peter Hollo who's played with everyone from Part Timer, Saddleback, Oren Ambarchi, Brian Wilson (!!!!) and even Leo Sayer (Hehehe). Peter is an extremely talented cellist and here he produces some dramatic and haunting audio using cello, piano, loop/ delay pedals and some laptop processing.There's even a cut-up of the 1st movement from Ravel's Piano trio. It''s all super high quality stuff that will appeal to fans of experimental modern classical, and perhaps in particular Aaron Martin's work. Edition of 50 copies.

Peter Hollo has played cello in Sydney's innovative electric string quartet FourPlay since 1995. His playing can be found on releases by artists such as Saddleback, Oren Ambarchi, Part Timer and many more. The Raven project began in 1997 as an outlet for idm-style beat-fuckery and sample mangling. Classically trained in both cello & piano, more recently Peter has been incorporating these instruments into his sound, and this EP represents some of the results: the beats, for now, are gone; long-form piano meditations are processed on laptop; beautiful cello lines are looped and layered.
