2 very prolific artists come together for a collaborative effort of Frans De Waard's My Own Little Label. In case you didn't know Freiband is Frans and I've just clocked an amazing photo of him on discogs smoking a pipe and it looks like his head is smoking. This is an intense piece of work. It's harsher sounding than other Machinefabrieks work.... that could be the influence of Freiband but I'm not familiar with his work enough to know for sure. It's an interesting CD though with a plethora of sounds being used in a variety of different ways and one which keep fans of Dutch sound art happy for a good 20 minutes and 38 seconds.

On February 14th 2010 Machinefabriek and Frans de Waard played each a solo concert at Berlin's Rote Salon. Afterwards they played a collaborative concert as Machinefabriek and Freiband. Taking the material from their previous collaboration a bit further, adding new sounds to the whole.
