...according to our Ant on 25 March 2010.
One of the end of year 2009 acts was Sun Araw, thats going to get some replication this year with this monster double vinyl opus......Initially launched solely as a recording project for Magic Lantern guitarist Cameron Stallones, Sun Araw quickly transformed into a stunning live act as well, bolstered by a string of rapturously received LPs ( Beach Head," "The Phynx," and "Heavy Deeds" on Not Not Fun and Boat Trip on the Woodsist label). Drawing equally upon 70s kraut-psych rock, Spacemen 3-style drug blues, and woozy tropical world music, Sun Araw s universe is a rapidly expanding one. Tons more recordings are in the works, as well as some US touring with Pocahaunted, an east coast tour with Oneohtrix Point Never, and an Australian tour in September of 2010. His electric gospel landed him on a number of prominent music review Best Of 2009 lists, and the trend seems to be growing.
