What on earth is happening in music today? Why are all the bands I loved in 1989 reforming & coming back with turgid albums spilling with bland MOR filled songs that just embarrass me to death. First the Wedding Present & now The House Of Love. "Look Terry Bickers is back with us! We've even put him on the cover just to prove It!!!!!!!" You'd never guess. Thank god The Smiths are dead & buried. I'd die if their legacy was tainted by a badly conceived regrouping. To be fair the songs on 'Days Run Away' are mature, well polished & chugging in a catchy AOR way. Nice.... CD only on Art & industry.

What their label says...

The reformation album - unavailable for some time & now at reduced price.
Post-Smiths British guitar group The House Of Love formed originally in London in 1986 and released 4 albums, the classic 'The House of Love' on the Creation label and 3 subsequent releases on Fontana 'Fontana', 'Babe Rainbow' & 'Audience With The Mind'. Their hits include 'Shine On', 'Christine', 'Destroy The Heart' and 'I Don't Know Why I Love You'. They disbanded in 1994, but in 2005 reformed with 3 of the 4 original members when a chance meeting led to an impromptu rehearsal session and the swift realisation that the magic was still there. They recorded their new songs with Pat Collier, the producer of the first (& greatest) album on Creation and the result is 'Days Run Away', a thrilling return to the incendiary sound of their Creation years and the chemistry that ignited their first 2 albums.
