His last album sent Anthony mental with joy, enhancing one evening of possibly immoderate beer consumption & quiet contemplation to such a degree he wrote a thesis about it, had it approved by the MicroUniversity of Menston (formerly in the grounds of an abandoned mental hospital) and now swans round with a big mortar board scholar's hat on (emblazoned stylishly with the Infraction records logo, natch) I've a problem with this new CD by Parks and that is it's a bit too spacious, beautiful & breathtaking to listen too in the office whilst Phil is moaning about having eaten one rice cracker & a speck of dust in twelve hours & if he doesn't get home soon he's gonna throw a computer out of the window in such a shocking fit of rage that the world will momentarily stop spinning on its axis & exclaim "huh?". Richly textured, euphoric & intoxicating, 'Hidden' is heartrendingly grand, ambitious ambient music with subtle shades of classic electronica & experimental techno. I just wanna go home & listen to my copy again rather than writing meaningless words about people considerably more talented than I!

What their label says...

Parks is Russian ambient/electronic artist Igor Bystrov who has been working on his craft for nearly 15 years. "Hidden" may be his most accomplished and varied work to date. Sitting somewhere in the midst of the great 90's ambient artists, the (rather) new wave of Russian electronic artists all the while admiring from a distance the Kompakt pop-ambient of this decade - Parks seamless blend of it all has culminated in a brilliant finish.
