The first new motion picture label to carry the Disney name in 60 years, Disneynature is dedicated to working with leading filmmakers to produce cutting-edge wildlife films celebrating the wonders of the world in which we live.
Audiences of every age and every culture attend the movies primarily for one reason : to experience great storytelling. And there are no stories told with more drama, excitement, humor or inspiration than the stories nature tells. Disneynature will travel to the farthest reaches of the planet to capture these stories so they can captivate audiences around the world.
Working with the best wildlife directors, and using the latest state-of-the-art technology, Disneynature will offer nature as never seen before. Disneynature films will enable audiences to discover the incredible beauty of our world, and also to understand the challenges that future generations will face.
In a remote and forgotten wilderness, one of nature's last great mysteries unfolds: the birth, life and survival of a million crimson-winged flamingos.
Against the dramatic backdrop of unforgiving, never-before filmed landscapes, we follow the birth of a tiny flamingo hatchling, and the perils and fortunes of her life in the extraordinary "other world" of Lake Natron in northern Tanzania.
This music to accompany this film is performed by British based jazz and electronic band The Cinematic Orchestra.
