Hey this Under The Spire label looks like it's shaping up to be something quite special. Before me I have a stamped Arigato pak with a 3" CD by Kranky artist Boduf Songs. Its a hand numbered edition of 100 copies and comes with a wonderful teenie weenie tiny booklet. The first track is a brooding soundscape that makes way for the creepy folk/ drone of 'Deathbed Triumphs Of Eminent Lackwits'. 'Down Among The Mashers Pt. II' is a sad piano track, quite a touching little piece actually. It prompted a conversation between Brett and I about when Dumbo get's taken away from his mother. It's so not fair. I want to cry just thinking about it...5 tracks in all, short, sweet and concise. Bloody good stuff.
