Another batch of audio cookies fresh out the Blackest Rainbow oven and I have two of them to munch on. First up is a CD by Robe. Now I'm not usually one to judge a record by its cover but the photo of crucifix grave stones and the medieval style font have me thinking this aint gonna be no bubblegum pop effort. So I hit play on 'Time Dimension' and my suspicions are confirmed. It's super dark vibes all the way, reminding me of some of the ambient/ black metal type stuff. I get the feeling of an impending storm brewing but it never quite manifests into total sonic brutality which I quite like. Plenty of the obligatory menacing drone action as you may expect. The label recommend this for fans of Sunn O))) and Robedoor. I heartily second that notion... mighty tasty. Ltd to 150 copies.
