The Shot Heard Round the World have a new 5-track CD thing out on Pray for the Prairie and it's called Felluponstone. The plastic wrapping on the CD is of average thickness this time around.. Times are hard I suppose. This lot do the Byrds/Flying Burrito Brothers thing very well indeed with a lovely, lush, authentic sound that does the songs full justice. Quality stuff for all the people who accidentally press ctrl.alt.country when Windows crashes.

Mountain Landis Record Label is proud to announce the release of "Felluponstone,"
the second release from Brooklyn-based band The Shot Heard 'Round the World.

Recorded in Connecticut in 2007 by Rob Christiansen (of Teenbeat notoriety), the
album marks a shift in direction for the band, whose first album, "Ten Songs for Town &
Country" garnered critical acclaim for its lush harmonies, hazy, wistful reflection, and
60's restlessness. "Felluponstone" takes that groundwork and moves it in a new direction,
with more prominent guitar and "crazier rhythms."

The band as it appears on the record includes Alex Farrill (ex-Dirty Projectors) on guitar,
Brian House (Multitudes) on bass, Tim Bean on guitar, and Rob Christiansen (Sisterhood
of Convoluted Thinkers, Eggs) on drums.
