Stefan Kushima is an Austrian man and he's made a CD called Your Purple Breath. Even when Brian's eaten nothing but kebabs and mustard for a week his breath never goes past green so I dread to think what the subject of this one's been living on. I'm finding this album hard to describe because there's so much going on in here, it's almost like listening to several noise blokes having a big noise-off in a church. There's definitely something kind of elegant and stately about it despite the harsh atonality, I think it might be the almost imperceptible (organ?) chord changes that are going on in the background and the fact that a lot of the noise sounds like it's being made by choir trapped in a vortex. Fantastic stuff in an edition of 100 on Ikuisuus that all the noisemongers out there should eagerly lap up.

Highly concentrated whirlwind of sounds into the hypnotic cosmos created by Austrian fella Stefan Kushima. Indian and Mexican pipes, different synths, some drums, guitar and voice + a ton of effects were the tools of trade to generate this astounding trip to unknown wilderness.
Recorded at most parts in Linz, Vienna and Berlin during summer and fall of '08 .. amazing cover by val .. other layout by s.k.
