Funckarma are back with their brand new album and it's their first ever ambient record apparently. Wonders will never cease. As far as ambient albums go this is one of more interesting ones as there's plenty going on. It's not an ambient droney one either... it's got samples and things happening left right and centre. It's very lovely actually. I guess an easy way to describe it is beatless techno, or possibly beatless electronica is more accurate. Space samples .....classical samples... some wobblyness here and there makes this sound like it would be a quality come down album. It's well old school and it's nice to hear someone making an ambient album which doesn't rely on drones and tones (though I am partial to those ones). Ample things going on here so for the discerning ambient buyer this is a wise choice I reckon! Psar Dymog is CD only on the Symbolic Interaction label. The title reminds me of Tir Na Nog... an old Spectrum game... Anyone remember that one?

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.
