Dead Pilot's a pretty dependable label and they've kicked out another one of those splits, limited to 50 copies in one of those recycled sleeve jobs, this time featuring Dead Wood and Phantom Heron Seas. The litany of clanks, whirrs, fizzes and static bring to mind detuned radios tag-team serenading a humanless wasteland teeming with tiny insectoid machine hybrid things building themselves little homes in the rubble. What their label says...
Entry number 3 into the Dead Pilot Split series comes from owners of 2 highly respected DIY/CDR labels. Dead Wood, owner of Dirty Demos and Phantom Heron Seas, owner of Dead Sea Liner. Both fantastic labels bringing a wide range of electronic and experimental sounds. Here, they treat us to a fantastic set of tracks which display a distinct understanding of how to layer and entwine found sounds, electronic noises, bleak drones and delicate melodies effortlessly. Quite dark and eerie in places, and deep and affecting throughout, a fantastic split from 2 fantastic artists and heads in the world of DIY/CDR labels and music. Highly recommended.
Limited to 50 in recycled card digipak, hand stamped and hand numbered.
