Here's a self released CD by Luga. Be May Day is 11 tracks totaling just shy of 45 minutes which is a bargain considering the CD is just 3.49 pounds. And if you're overseas that's even cheaper as a pound is worth about the same as a blade of grass. It works out at less than 32p per track. I don't like reducing music to money but fuck me that is a bargain? What sounds are on offer? Well you may remember the CD they had on Distant Noise which came and went (boo hoo to those who missed....). Those suckers never hang around for long. It's primarily electronic based music which I guess is more indie friendly (no I'm not gonna say it). There's some interesting beats kicking about while the the keyboards are uber tinkly. Also there is some ethereal sounding vocals on the odd track which I surprisingly like (I hate the human voice). It's quite hard to describe and pigeonhole but if I had to I'd say it's bedroom electronica. Limited to just 50 copies and we've got 10 so we'll see how long they last for!

What their label says...

Following on from well received releases on vu-us, distant noise and october man recordings, Luga brings another slice of organic electronica with a shoegazy sheen; like Boards of Canada covering a Slowdive song. Be May Day contains all his trademark elements, quirky beats and tinkling keyboard lines and adds vocals to the mix, most notably on the beautiful 'understand theory'.
