My name is Andy Walker and I am self-releasing the 'One Day All This Will Work Out...' EP on 3rd November 2008 under my stage name, Loyal Trooper.
From January to April this year I produced the EP in my bedroom, at my friends house and tracked the drums at a Baptist Church in Kettering. Kettering and Baptist Church's = rock 'n' roll. My friend Dave Clarke (Battle / Ladyfuzz / Juliette Lewis) did a brilliant job of mixing and mastering the EP in between doing about seven day jobs at that time.
I loved singing, playing guitar and keyboards on the record but I wanted to add some variety to the EP's sound so asked some friends of mine to help out with some of the instrumentation. I cajoled my friends to be involved with a combination of being very persuasive and/or buying them copious amounts of alcohol.
I am incredibly proud of this record. I've put everything that I have into it and think that for the first time in my life I have produced a piece of work that is instrumentally layered as I would like, flows like I want it to and is sonically and lyrically the best thing I've achieved thus far in my life.
