Kicking off proceedings this week with a CD on the Ukrainian label Quasi pop from an artist I've followed since my teens. Japan's almighty producer and ex- Zeni Geva chief KK Null. Firstly the 'CD is a wonderful looking thing in its triple panel digi pak adorned with fantastic photos by the artist. Second's into the first track and I'm already being transported into another world. The CD states "All cosmic noises created by" and that's exactly what these sounds are. His synthesizer sounds warp around the room creating a chaotic and blissfully futuristic environment. Over the years he's become a lot more electronic based and he's really using his tools to the limits to create his vision. Seeing him live a while ago was totally life affirming. The second track has a wicked percussive drive that's almost like techno, reminding me of his Kosmista Noisea album on Important records. It's actually quite a rhythmic album at times. Occasionally there are some really dense layers with all sorts of mind blowing sounds happening. I could immerse myself in this all day but unfortunately there's work to be done so I'll do that at home. 'Galactic Tornado' is very highly recommended. Ltd to 500 copies.

What their label says...
CD in digipack limited edition 500 total time: 50:11
The album “Galactic Tornado” by Mr. Kazuyuki Kishino (KK NULL) presents the deep, dense & dynamic electronic music. It's unconditional, intuitive and highly emotional excellent audio-work. Combining synthetic sounds from various synthesizers and electronic machines with acoustic audio signals, the composer explores (from his own point of view) some artistic values of “psychedelic electronic sound” that were widly presented on space/electronic/kraut albums from 70s.
Naturally, this CD could be recommended for listeners who prefer the contemporary experimental sound in its highest quality and for fans of “retro spacey” sound from the groups such as Popol Vuh, Cluster or even Tangerined Dream as well.
Luxurious 6-panels digipack with silver lettering and spot varnishing feautures artwork with images done by Kazuyuki Kishino.
