J Spaceman and Matthew Shipp have a smart looking CD out Treader with an embossed gold foil jelly fish on the front. The tentacles remind me of the huge spider I found in our bath earlier this week. It was so big I had to get it into a beaker and its circumference was that of the beaker. I'd say a good 7.5cm which is big for a british house spider. I was sure to wash out the beaker afterwards incase it left any horrible eggs in there that might hatch inside me and burst through my brain. Speaking of the brain this 'SpaceShipp' CD is currently gently massaging mine with it's drug coma inducing drones on 'Inner' and proper spaced out to the maximum extended erm... drones. Proper mong music that makes growing sound like Napalm Death. The second tune 'Outer' (see what they've done there) is actually a very pretty number, with fragile and delicate tiny chiming sounds and guitar creaks. Recorded at Abbey Road so you can be assured of it's quality. The word beaker is not used often enough these days. Beaker.

What their label says...

Spaceman and Shipp return to Treader with a collaboration first outed for Patti Smith's Meltdown festival.  This is their studio corollary to that concert. Magic golden voice drone followed by celestial ecstacy
