DJ/ Rupture mixes are always worth checking. His track selection is always a worthwile selection of current popular tunes as well as digging deep into international obscurites. Uproot his latest mix on The Agriculture has the man in fime form seamlessly blending and sequencing cuts from Clouds, Istari Lasterfarher, Nokea, Atki2, Maga Bo, Scuba, Stalker, filastine, Timeblind, Moving Ninja, Shackleton, Team Shadetek, Quest, Ghislain Poirier, Iron Shirt and more. 23 tunes in all with a hefty amount of dubstep dominating proceedings. Would be a good one to play in the car although I dont drive and my missus insists that as she is the driver she has full control of the sounds. Women are evil.

What their label says...

After almost two years of silence, New York scene-setters The Agriculture return to mark their tenth anniversary with this remarkable 23 track burner. The global rise of dubstep has offered a new platform for bass-centric music, and DJ / Rupture shines his own spotlight here with an intimate mix of contemplative low-end, which adds depth with each repeat play. Including nine exclusive cuts, ‘Uproot’ is a languorous blend exploring elements from UK dubstep and Brooklyn dancehall to Berlin abstraction and Brazil baile funk and far beyond, with all elements seamlessly incorporated into the whole. Taking the twin pillars of bass and space upon which the 70s Jamaican visionaries built the first temples of dub, ‘Uproot’ explores a wealth of new material – almost half of it previously unreleased – in a session that is as deep as it is contagious. Cosmopolitan bass never sounded so good, courtesy of Clouds, Atki2, Maga Bo, Ekstrak, Matt Shadetek, Ekkehard Ehlers, Ghislain Poirrier, Filastine, Scuba, Shackleton, Timeblind, Moving Ninja, We, and more.
