Foals. Well, they're shaping up to be a feyer version of Bloc Party. I still can't quite accept the fact that a band from Oxford called their song 'Mathletics' and didn't get beaten up by a rugby team. Well, Jolly John Lydon's meathead pals maybe. But no, that is entire rugby squad baiting is that kind of smug twattishness. Even Shellac aren't that big headed about ther dynamicism (is that a word??) New single is called 'Olympic Arseways' and they're ripping off Chris from Hood's vocals and making some "nice", airy, melodic precision pop that bores the arse out of my jeans. I'm sat here now with my arse hanging riight out cos i've just let off a big long chuff of nonchalence. Noice. 7"/CDs on some label or other.

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

OVERVIEW: Following an unbeatable schedule of summer festivals across the world, including two unforgettable headline appearances at Underage and Field Day to 20,000 people, Foals will head back out on a full, fast selling UK tour this Autumn. 2008 has been an incredible whirlwind for the Oxford band. Starting out the year being widely tipped as the band of 2008, Foals went on to defy the pitfalls of hype and prove their importance when they released their top 3 debut album 'Antidotes' – a record that has been, without question, instrumental in defining this year's sound. Since the heady days of playing squat parties and toilet venues, the band have gone on to win over live audiences across the globe. With their tight delivery, frenetic energy and wound up, about-to-snap tension on-stage, Foals have become widely regarded to be one of the most exciting live bands around.
