How on earth do you follow that??? Brian cocking about with the record player speed with this White Lies 'Death' 7". He's stopped now and it sounds no where near as good as when he was getting all Otomo Yoshihide on it. This is like a big stadium indie thing. The vocal reminds Phil of the chap from Franz Ferdinand. Comes on two different 7"s one of which has a Haunts mix. Whoopie-doo....

White Lies release a brooding new single, Death, through Fiction Records on September 22nd 2008.
The track is the first taster from their debut album due January 2009 and is available on Digital, CD, 2 x 7” formats. The formats feature exclusive remixes from Crystal Castles and Haunts.
Since opening the NME New Noise Tour this year, White Lies have played well-received festival slots at Latitude, T In The Park, Fuji Rock Japan and a main stage performance at Lollapalooza festival in the US.
Following their run of US shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, the band round off the summer performing at the Reading & Leeds Festivals on August 23rd and 24th, and head out on a full UK tour in the autumn. The full list of headline dates is as follows:
The band completed the recording of their debut album at ICP studios in Brussels with acclaimed producer Ed Buller (Pulp, Suede) and Max Dingel (The Killers, Glasvegas). The album is due for release at the start of 2009.
Their debut single, Unfinished Business, was released in April 2008 as a limited edition 7” on the band’s own Chess Club Recordings label.
