Does Brian Grainger EVER leave the house? I mean, he's a sweet looking guy, i'm sure he's got loadsa friends and admirers out there? I bet his computer chair needs replacing every 6 months due to excessive buttock friction. I'd really moan if his music wasn't always pretty sublime. He's like an ambient hit factory is the man. Cut him and he bleeds the spirit of Eno! More hand assembled CDs in this week, one of which is 'Calico Fountain Melange' under the Milieu guise. It's 3 tunes that remind me of Plaid, Biosphere & Boards of Canada in that particular order. Track 3 is a mixset of over 40 Milieu tunes by Kernel32 and is great to drift off to. That reminds me, I went to someones house in Colne t' other day and they had a great big fuck off ferret run in their back garden, snaking round the walls for 60 metres, long tunnels made of piping, intersecting at these cages full of fun ferret things then right at the end cage was a cute, sleepy albino ferret rolling round contentedly in a ferret hammock with a little smile on it's face. I bet it was a Brian Grainger fan.

What their label says...

1. Albatrosses (4:32)
2. Counting Lights (5:17)
3. Calico Fountain Melange (Mixed By Kernel32) (69:22)

An "expanded single" of three tracks from the vaults! "Albatrosses" and "Counting Lights" were originally
written to be included on Aurora Borealis and Night Currents, respectively, and then they were meant to be
included on several other releases since then, but never quite made it. Still kicking today and frustrated at
not being picked so many times, these tracks have grown together in a way, and now they appear together here complemented by an almost-70 minute (!!!) mixset of Milieu songs, seamlessly and masterfully woven together by Mr. Kernel32 in the UK. Packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with a colorful inkstamped rainbow card, limited to 50 copies.
