Also on Sopa is a CD by Girls Love Rallie. It's called 'Les Chansons Terribles' and it's limited to 100 copies. Though my French is shite (blame that on dreadful French teachers at school who thought it was more important to put the fear of god into me rather than doing their job and teaching French) I think it means the bad songs. Feel free to correct me.... This is a chap from a band called My Friend George and he's ably assisted by folks from Figurines, 1234 and Charlie Don't Surf on this. I'm reminded of Bob Mould on this.... Post Husker Du and pre gay electro pop Bob Mould. I can also hear Frank Black and Buffalo Tom throbbing away in there somewhere or other. The songs are great on this one. Really strong pop songs I reckon. Go on... 'ave a bit will you.

What their label says...

“Les Chansons Terribles” is the solo debut of Girls Love Rallie, but he’s far from a spring chicken when it comes

to making music. Having played for many years as part of the band My Friend George (released on Morningside Records) he has continuously worked on perfecting his own brand of catchy pop tunes.
Singing with a voice that’s instantly recognizable as Rallie. It’s dry, but clear and has a personal sit-downand-let-me-tell-you-something quality. He makes you listen. And then he has got the knack for writing that catchy song. A treat to lend your ear to.

On this cd you get acoustic songs, rocking anthems with a full band as well as quirky electro-pop tunes. All of the kind that get stuck in your head. "Les Chansons Terribles” is an unpretentious and entertaining collection of songs rooted in classic songwriting.

For the recordings Rallie enlisted friends from Figurines, 1234 and Charlie Don’t Surf.
